We know the mobile hydraulic business
In the early eighties, Harvey Peterson of CATCO Parts and Service began to see what would become a long-term trend in the mobile transport industry. People were moving away from the dangerous mechanical drivelines to hydraulic systems. Some CATCO stores stocked a small amount of hydraulic parts, but Harvey saw the opportunity to capture a growing market. STAC was founded as a result in 1984. The name comes from CATCO's original name from when that company was founded in 1949. Back then, CATCO was called "Clutch and Transmission Service" or CATS as an acronym. Spelled backwards, this was STAC.
Thus, STAC Inc. was born from the CATCO mold. We've benefitted over the years from having such a large distributor as a kind of mentor and guide to our manufacturing and distribution process. Over the years, we've added new products and services, but our philosophy remained the same. We focus on providing our customers with the exact product they need at an affordable price.
